Systems, Momentum, and a Strong Start to the Year

Happy New Year,
As we step into a new year, I’ve been reflecting on what actually drives long-term results, both in investing and in life. The answer keeps coming back to the same place: fundamentals, systems, and consistency.
January isn’t about big declarations. It’s about setting the tone. Tightening processes. Creating momentum early so the rest of the year compounds from a position of strength.
Here’s a snapshot of what January has looked like so far at BAM, along with a few lessons that continue to shape how we operate.

RTO #22 | Grande Prairie | Under Contract
We officially have a beautiful property under contract in Grande Prairie, and I’m very excited about this one.
This market is severely under supplied at this price point and quality level, which creates a strong setup from both a cash flow and exit perspective. After reviewing several options, my clients landed on this home with confidence, and now the real work begins.
Financing, insurance, inspections, appraisal, and the inevitable mountain of paperwork are all underway. I’m grateful, as always, for a strong team that keeps everything moving smoothly behind the scenes.
Momentum matters, and this deal is a great way to kick off the year.

Systems Over Effort
This quarter, I’ve been conducting virtual property inspections for our Rent-to-Own homes. These aren’t traditional inspections. They’re relationship check-ins.
The goal is accountability, communication, and continuity.
Here’s why the system works:
Tenant buyers typically take excellent care of the homes
We still conduct in person inspections at least twice per year
Everything is supported by clear documentation and repeatable processes
The setup is simple but effective:
Zoom call recorded with Fathom
Notes documented live in Airtable using a custom inspection form
Recording and report saved directly into the property’s Google Drive folder
The result is clean records, reduced friction, and better conversations.
Systems handle the admin so the focus stays where it should, on people.
Quiet Progress Compounds

Lately, my focus has been on tightening the fundamentals.
Daily training.
Clearer thinking.
Better systems.
Less wasted effort.
Nothing extreme. Just small, repeatable habits done consistently.
This mindset carries across everything I’m involved in: real estate, PAI trading, crypto, health, and business. Same principle every time.
Systems first.
Consistency second.
Results last.
Atomic Habits puts it well. You don’t rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.
That idea continues to guide how I build, quietly, intentionally, and with the long term in mind.

Markets, Liquidity, and Opportunity
One final thought as we move deeper into the year.
Most people believe markets move on fundamentals. Revenue, earnings, cash flow, or location. Those things matter, but they don’t drive short term price movement.
Liquidity and leverage do.
When money is cheap and leverage is easy, prices rise.
When liquidity tightens and leverage unwinds, forced sellers create opportunity.
You see this clearly in crypto.
You see it in trading.
And you see it in real estate too, just on a slower timeline.
Different asset classes.
Same engine.
Our job is not to predict. It’s to stay liquid, manage risk, and be positioned when others are forced out.

Closing Thoughts:
This year isn’t about chasing noise or forcing outcomes.
It’s about building deliberately.
Staying focused.
Letting strong systems do the heavy lifting.
