Real Estate, A Book, and What’s Next

August has been a good reminder of how much can change when you keep building, even when the results take a while to show up.

Real estate is still at the core of what I do, but lately I’ve been building a few things alongside it. Some have been in the works for months. One has been more than a year in the making.

This month, a few of those pieces started becoming real.

There Had To Be More

After more than a year of working on it, the proof copies of my book, There Had To Be More, arrived.

Holding the actual book was a strange feeling.

I wrote most of it at five in the morning, sitting in a truck in the dark before starting a shift on the power lines. Now I’m sitting beside my own fire reading through a printed copy.

The book covers my thirteen years on the power lines, the question I couldn’t shake on the drive home, and what I actually did about it.

It isn’t a how-to book.

I’m not telling anybody to quit their job. I’m not saying the decisions I made are the right ones for everybody.

It’s simply what happened. The decisions, the changes, and the parts that cost me.

Right now, I’m going through the proof copies and checking how everything came together in print. The spine. Margins. Illustrations. Paper. All the little things you don’t really know until you’re holding the finished product in your hands.

It’s almost there.

The Partnerships Behind the Deals

Real estate gets talked about in numbers.

Purchase price. Cash flow. Returns. Equity.

Those numbers matter. But there’s another part of doing deals that matters just as much.

The people involved.

Trust, transparency, clear communication, and a properly structured deal are a big part of how I approach partnerships.

Recently, I shared feedback from Jenna and Aaron, Wendy and Samer, and Victor about their experiences working with me.

Jenna and Aaron talked about the professionalism and support they received throughout the process. Wendy and Samer pointed to transparency, due diligence, and communication. Victor spoke about the clear expectations and structure from the beginning.

Every partnership is different.

The goal stays pretty simple. Communicate clearly, structure the deal properly, and work toward an outcome that makes sense for everyone involved.

To everyone who has trusted me and BAM Real Estate Ventures along the way, thank you.

Building BAM Stack

Another project that’s been taking shape is BAM Stack.

This came from a problem I’ve seen while running real estate businesses.

Operators end up with software over here, leads over there, another system for appointments, another for invoicing, and a pile of processes they’re trying to keep connected.

Buying another piece of software doesn’t necessarily fix that.

BAM Stack is built for real estate operators who are tired of piecing together tools, systems, and processes on their own.

The setup brings the day-to-day parts of the business into one place, including leads, pipelines, calendars, websites, invoicing, and conversations.

But the software is only one part.

BAM Stack also includes biweekly coaching, custom builds, and hands-on support. That can include automations, funnels, integrations, workflows, and the other pieces needed to make the system fit the way the business actually operates.

Having software is the easy part.

Knowing what workflows to build, staying consistent, and getting the system to work for the business is where things can get messy.

That’s the problem BAM Stack is built to solve.

Not another CRM. A coach in your corner.

Why These Projects Fit Together

A book, a real estate company, and a system for real estate operators might look like three completely different things.

For me, there’s a common thread.

Real estate gave me a way to start building a life outside the power lines.

I spent thirteen years in that trade. It was good work and gave me a solid career. But I wanted more control over my time and more say in what I was building.

That’s still what I’m working toward.

Family. Freedom. Fulfillment.

BAM Real Estate Ventures continues to grow. There Had To Be More is nearly ready. BAM Stack is getting out into the world.

There’s still plenty of work ahead.

But it’s pretty wild to look back at those mornings writing in a truck before a shift and compare them to what I’m working on now.

There had to be more.

Turns out, there was.
